How involved was/ is your hubby-to-be in choosing THE wedding dress. Was he there every step of the way or not so much. If he was, did he want to involve himself or did you force it upon him to be part of the selection.
Also, if he was involved, was he actually helpful?
Actually all the guys in my family are like that lol, my dad is also very into what I’m wearing, suggesting styles etc.. the problem is his choices (and my SO’s) are the total opposite of what my mum wants.. Traditional v western, form fitting v loose and flowy etc
My in-laws chose my walima and Nikkah outfit, as that was their tradition, so my husband saw them before me. He MSNed me from the UK (I was in Canada) that he didn't like the Walima one! I was so upset...lol. Anyways, it looked beautiful on, and I was very happy with it and in the end, so was he ;).
my fiance went with me to look at dresses but later on me & his fam had kind of a different view of the dress but he came up with ideas to put all the ideas together & got exactly what i wanted and everyone was happy. so he was veryy involved. this is my nikkah dress to be im talking about :)
I don’t want him to be involved & neither is he. I want to keep it a surprise & would like to see the instant reaction instead of a pre-imagined look in his mind.
With the valima outfit, there can be as much of a say from him as needed.
he wasn’t involved in the Barat outfit ( bcz I wanted to keep it as a surprise for him) but was TOTALLY involved in walima dress n was SOO SOO helpful. He selected color, kaam, cut everything n am much impressed by his designing sense MA!
He was very involved. I was about to order one dress...but he saw another one and LOVED it. We actually "custom" ordered it since we changed the colors and the styles (the outfit we saw had heavy lehenga and short choli.....I orderd it with long kameez and lighter lehenga). So yea....he chose the actual outfit and suggested the colors (which my BFF and I both liked). After than, I came up with the "modifications" (ie. I wanted long kameez with short sleeves etc). I get my dress around Christmas so let's see how it turns out..... :)
he wasn’t involved for the walima dress as he wasn’t in Pakistan …
for him these are all girly things .. on the other hand my dad MA has a superb choice and he was pretty much involved with mom and my sis for my bridal and thankfully we all have pretty similar tastes!
