Galactic tadpole
The Hubble Space Telescope’s Advanced Camera for Surveys captured this picture of the “Tadpole” galaxy, also known as UGC 10214, in April 2002. This bizarre result of an intergalactic traffic accident is 420 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. The Tadpole’s distorted shape was caused by a smaller hit-and-run galaxy that can be made out in the upper left corner of the frame. Gravitational interaction between the two galaxies created a tail of stars and gas that stretches out more than 280,000 light-years. Other galaxies can be seen as innocent bystanders in the picture.

Marvelous ‘Mice’

“The Mice” are a pair of colliding galaxies in the constellation Coma Berenices, 300 million light-years from Earth. Otherwise known as NGC 4676, the two galaxies will eventually merge into a single giant galaxy. Tidal streams of stars, gas and dust pass between the galaxies and create the “tails” of the Mice, which were spotted by the Hubble Space Telescope’s Advanced Camera for Surveys in April 2002.

Watercolor nebula
The center of the Omega Nebula, seen in this April 2002 image from the Hubble Space Telescope’s Advanced Camera for Surveys, is also called M17 and the Swan Nebula. The star-forming region is 5,500 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. The colors are created by infant stars and glowing gas, cradled in a dark cloud of hydrogen.

Cosmic cone
The nebula NGC 2264, dubbed the “Cone,” is a dark, sloping pillar of gas and dust in a star-forming region of the constellation Monoceros, 2,500 light-years from Earth. Radiation from hot, young stars, located above the top of this image, has eroded the nebula over billions of years. The hydrogen gas thrown off from the pillar has been heated to a glow, creating the reddish halo around the Cone.

The colors are false by the way. The telescope does not see color thats just an add on and NASA makes is such that is shows the most information while still been asthetically good. So the red is something NASA added on.

These pictures which we are looking are the result of Billions of dollars investments, and years of research.

when they had launched this Hubble, the main lens which was almost 5 feet in diameter, was made wrong , and they didn't checked it, and when they received the pictures those were blurry,
that was very frustrated for Americans, it was almost impossible to bring that down and replace the lens, then they planned another , and they made the same lens, and then they sent that along with three scientist, and they took the faulty lens out and put the new one ,
the amazing thing was that, kay all this show happened live , both ships were rotating at the same speed in the space , the technician ship was rotating / traveling as the same speed as the Hubble!
This whole drama is itself a miracle of science!

Its too risky, unless many people have gone and came back without a scratch. Then maybe, I will go too. But I don’t think its going to happen in our life time! And that is GREAT!!!
