Why not? You can not only use the SD card for files, but you can also move applications to the SD card. I did that all the time, when I had my HTC Wildfire.

I have wildfire S might be having some different software. I tried to move the applications from internal memory to SD card but the option “move to SD card” does not allow to get it clicked. moreover yesterday there appeared a notification for deleting some messages. I had to delete some. I dont know how to handle this.
