Re: HSY bridal
anyone have HSY contact info? They never answer their phones!
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
No offence to the paki designers but u can get sarees, lehengas, salwaars, sharas and bridal anarkalis in the range of 2000$ - 2500$ made by indian designers such as sabyasachi, neeta lulla, tarun tahiliani and others. Also the cost is pretty justified because all the items have heavy kaam on them. And they use pure gold and silver resham thread for the zardosi work and swarovski crystals.
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
no offense to indian designers, but i find a lot of indian designs extremely tacky compared to pakistani ones.

Funny you say that, I'm getting married to an indian and people don't understand at all when I say pakistani clothes are different. I try to explain to people how pakistani kaam, style, kapra is very different from indians and they're like HUH!
Only now I guess our style has looked different in a sense of the open pants and long shirts in an obvious way but I have always found pakistani clothes to look SO different from Indians. even the detail of the kaam
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
Tacky is not the word.. Its a different style. Ive seen many girls calling work of indian designers tacky... please stop the rudeness!
i like bit of both..
the indian clothing has bigger and more prominent patterns/work...
pakistani clothing has more fine work..
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
I think pakistani lenghas are very beautiful and there is a difference i'll have to agree on that but when it comes to saris i think indian designers totally outshine it just depends on what is worn more, in india saris are worn by almost all indians no matter what subculture it's the main item of clothing. the detail of the saris is exquisite in india.
whereas in pakistan lenghas/ghararas are worn a lot more than saris so obviously the designers will outshine in the item of clothing that is worn most often in both countries.
i can get indian clothes whenever i want but before i die i want to get a pakistani lengha/salwar kameez by one of the top designers if not an original an awesome copy of one when i do visit pakistan one day......hopefully when it's all safe
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
its all about taste, I have never found an outfit from any indian designer that I would look at twice, however i swoon over most of the stuff coming from our designers, totally agree that Sari’s are best from India though.
The reason our designers can charge so much is because there is a demand and people are prepared to pay the asking price (not me!) ![]()

I love HSY designs :jano:
Re: HSY (Hassan Shehryar Yasin) bridals
I bought an HSY R2W from Ensemble, and the stitching and finishing was impeccable. But yes, I just went to a wedding two days ago where my friend wore a piece from his resort collection and I was pretty disappointed with the fabric and embroidery up close. However, at the Ensemble launch event he displayed his brown and beige velvet collection and trust me, one word: DIVINE!
