Hi all
I have been looking for HSY garments in the UK but the only stockist I find is up in Manchester. I am going to Dubai and then maybe Pakistan earkly next year and wondered if it was possible if anyone knew how much I would be expecting to pay for a salwar kameez with kaam on it for evening wear as well as lengha / bridal suits?
The Manchester shop prices are quite expensive!!

i have been to the manchester store and yes the prices are sky high, quite ridiculous actually. I think in the pakistan store u have a better chance of reducing prices, but again the prices for HSY outfits are pretty expensive.
i know someone who has bought outfits from there and they said they haggle the prices and have managed to reduce them.

Really? how much am I looking to pay in Pak?
I dont mind spending a little extra on wedding outfit as it is one of the most special days in one's lifetime but not ridiculously expensive if you know what I mean.
HSY semi-formals in Dubai start from dhs 3,000-5000..

i enquired about a bridal lengha from hsy in pakistan, and it wasnt extremely heavy, and he said his bridals start around £3000.
i bought a shalwar kameez outfit from him for £350 and another which was £400 but reduced it to £325.

3000 ?! really... im better off just going to India Seasons or somewhere like that... for 3000 quid i could get flights hotel and a bridal and registry outfit from there. Man alive!

i know i was shocked cos that price for pakistan is bit ridiculous, but i think he gave me uk price.
i found some other designers slightly better priced, maria b, nikki nina.

everyone i've talked to from pakistan has said whatever you do, don't buy a designer outfit. find one you like and get it re-done from a tailor and kaam wala to your specs. apparently, they're pretty overpriced generally speaking.
i still want a genuine Karma outfit though, so we'll see...

I know how much you love Karma!! How much can you expect to pay for one in Pakistan, is dollars or Rupees? I eman semi formal and formals, not bridals.

i would not where to go for tailor or kaam wala as i rarely go to pakistan. if anyone knows any good ones in islamabad / rawalpindi or surrounding areas , please do let me know.
i guess when you look for tailor/kaam people then you do need to ensure they also get the pattern of the cut right too!

i think PFs designer did an excellent job copying that white HSY lengha. I actually preferred the way it looked in the photos to the HSY one on catwalk!
