Hrithik bags a Hollywood film!

For a long time now, the industry has been abuzz with news of Hrithik Roshan doing a Hollywood film! The news is finally confirmed! He has been signed on for a multi-million dollar international thriller, Aditya, in which he plays a Rajput prince who avenges his father's murder. The film is being directed by Tarsem Singh of The Cell fame and produced by James Killough. It stars other Bollywood actors too and will be shot in Jodhpur and England.

I dont think Hrithik will be playing a major role in the movie, seems unlikely, I bet it will be a fairly minor role. I dont think he is a good actor.
How come no one mentions Om Puri, he is the biggest indian star in hollywood, all the critics love him. I once heard a critic (I think it was Ebert from Siskel & Ebert) say he is one of the best actors in the world.

I agree that he is not good actor. but there are so many stars who are not good actors both in hollywood and bollywood. donno about length of role. one can find out if interested, but who cares.

ya.. but given his looks and age, he can not be offered many roles. hollywood at least has some roles for people like him. bollywood could not find roles even for old bachchan, forget about lesser mortals. actually there are many interesting things that happen with old people in our society. but we dont make films on it.

A hollywood movie by an Indian difrector being Being filmed in India and England? But isnt Hollywood in the US? Excuse my ignorance.

I apologize if this sound offensive but I love Indian movies but am not a great fan of Hritik after watching KNPH and Fiza!

no no, this is not an indian director, just like martin scorsese is not an italian director. Tarsem directed the Losing my religion video for R.E.M which is still considered among the best videos ever made, he made some other cool videos for Deep Forest etc, and last year his movie The Cell with Jennifer Lopez was pretty big. he used to go by the name Tarsem, only recently has he started using his last name. This movie will be very good, only because of the director.
A movie that is made by the big american studios based in california is considered from hollywood regardless of the stars, crew etc.

Ur ignorance is excused. For example, 'Vertical limit' was filmed entirely in pakistan. But it is a hollywood movie.

Neither I am a fan of Hrithik. But who cares? There are so many popular stars whom I hated (Jeetendra in older times, Salman in modern times, Arnold Shwarznegger of hollywood etc.) But they continue to be stars.
