Rakesh Roshan wants to take no chances with his home production Kites. After approaching Raju Hirani and finally getting Brett Ratner to edit the film, Roshan has decided to considerably do away with the intimate scenes between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in the Hindi version on the instance of Ratner who is editing the film’s English version.
Sources reveal that the film has English as well as a Hindi version. As the intimate scenes between Hrithik and Barbara are way too bold for the Indian audience, Brett asked Rakesh Roshan to either completely delete or at least water down the passionate scenes in the Hindi version.

Brett Ratner was especially called to re-edit Kites. He was got in to cater to the international audience. Ratner gave his suggestion as he understands the mindset of the Indian audience very well. Rakesh Roshan said that his films are made for a family audience. There are no intimate or lovemaking scenes in Kites.
After rumours of Hrithik- and Barbara Mori affairs, it surely seems that Rakesh Roshan doesn’t want to take any chances.
