The figure simply isn’t plausible. The Dorchester Suite runs £2,200/night. Now lets assume that the president and his wife both ate every meal at the hotel (that’s three meals per day at a generous £200/per person…so £1,200/day), enjoyed a vintage £1000 bottle of wine with every meal (£3,000/day), and got spa treatments and massages daily (lets say £300/person or £600/day)…and we’ll throw in an additional £3,000/day for security staff.

Even on that budget, it comes out to £10,000…still a fraction of what he’s being accused of. Its ludicrous.

Look at the source...Azam Swati himself has declared his net worth to be in the billions...aap kya samajhte hain...voh sab halal ki kamai hai?

At least we won't have this problem with the new government. Asif Zardari already already spent $5,500,000 of the taxpayers' money on Rockwood Estate (and even more on his Park Lane apartments), so I imagine he's covered as far as British accommodations are concerned.

the only way a 3K suite will end up costing 17K is if a lot of damage was caused during the stay. May be they broke a antique or two

Don't you think the discussion is already lost by almost all parties if it comes down whether the room rate was 4K or 17K UK Pound Sterling per night? Either sum is exhorbitant. Particularly places like NY, DC, London....it makes sense to just own a secure building rather than making vvips stay in hotels

\its mentioned speifically in the reports that it costed 68000 pounds for 4 nights. But who knows what the sum actually paid to the hotel management and what's been mentioned in the government's audit.
