How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

How would you say “keyword” in Urdu. Like the important words that are the “key” to understanding a sentence or paragraph?

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

matlooba lafz

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

^ I dont think that this is the right translation for the 'keyword' she wants the translation of.

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

Matlooba would be "meaningful", right? Not bad. On the right track, I think.

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

matlooba means wanted

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

Oh. Hmmn. Well that's not the right track then. I think of the word matlab as meaning "meaning" since people often use it as a synonym for yani. Anyway...

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

"kaas lafz"

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

Khaas? But khaas could be anything.

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

i think nia_khan is right

it will be "khaas lafz"

khaas=key (here we are not taking key by its literal meaning which is a lock's key)
lafz=word

you can also call it "ayehem lafz-اہم لفظ"....ayhem means important and lafz is word.

keyword means important words like main words in a paragraph.

Re: How would you translate "keyword" into Urdu?

**there are two words of which one is more suited for "keyword" than the other. those two words are:

kaleedii alfaaz OR alfaaz-e-Kaleedii [kaleed=key]
kunjii alfaaz [kunji=key]

kunji and Kaleed is also used for "guides" that are available for courses to help out the students.

hope this will suffice.**
