I guess it's a question of how able you are to put it to the back of your mind and get on with things as normal. For women who have set morals and principles it would be very hard to overlook. Then the question arises... is forgiving him going to let him think he can do other things later and get away with them too?
It's a tough one.

agreed, but they (or any other) have to remember, other ppl will also be unforgiving if and when they too make a mistake

If he is going to a “gentlemen’s club” where actual gentlemen are giving him lap dances, then I would say the lap dances are the least of your problems…

Oh and that is if I know he went to a strip club where there were half-naked women grinding up against everyone or included lap dances. I would honestly feel like I didn't know him at all throughout the relationship if that is what he did and that would be that.

It doesn't bother me if he goes with his guy friends to a club or a strip club for a bachelor party.
On a side note: I know girls who would be pissed if their guy went to a strip club. Their guys are well aware of how the girl's feel. So when the guys go to bachelor's parties....they just let their friends know how their girl would feel if it was discovered that a strip club was part of the outing. The result: The guys still go head with their plans. All measures are taken to ensure that the girl doesn't find out.
