If you’re pretty good friends with someone and you’re talking about some future plans and he or she says “If we’re friends then” followed by..whatever… Would it bother/hurt you, would think nothing of it etc?

Well It would be wierd but not suprising becuase not all friendhsips last forever.... I would probably be hurt too depending on how close said friend was... sometimes relatives can be freinds too...

I would suppose either the friendship is new/nt very deep OR the other person is just very practical as nowadays nobody knows if yr family members r gonna be in touch with yr forget the frnds :khums:

That's interesting. I ask b/c I just want to see how people usually think in regards to friendships, do they expect them to last forever, expect them to fail?
You know when you're young and friends with someone you think "OMG WE"LL BE BFs 4EVER!" but I think that feeling just goes away as you get older and busier in life (wiht career/studies/family life etc).

I would feel weird. If I discuss something with a friend, it's keeping in my that we are friends and will continue to be so...

^ Friendships are sacred to me... even if I only just met that person and we became friends or if that friend was my Khala's beta and my cousin too... the way I see it is that we should try our ut,ost to honour friendship but sad fact is you can take nothing for granted.
If people can break solemn oaths, go back on sworn vows, break off with the creed of faith, betray a nation for money or material....
Then how could I blame my freind for abandoning me... many a time in my life I have been abandoned by my blood brothers and bondsmen but at the same time they helped me realize that you can trust anyone but never depend on anyone becuase times change.
I used to feel betrayed when friends seemed to abandone me but after a while I couldn't blame them maybe I deserve it...

So adults do still feel this way....that's a relief to hear :D
It is same with me. 99% of people I choose to be friends with, I do it with the intention that we will be friends for quite a long time....communication might lessen at certain times but thats natural I think.
When I was younger, I never understood or agreed with teh concept that one can not talk for months/years and things are still the same between them whenever they meet but slowly i'm beginning to understand that and experience it as well..

This is a new one for me, I've never heard that line from anyone and I think it would be downright weird.

I can kind of understand why someone woulds ay that (and no I’ve never said it)…if they’re pessimistic or not optimistic about friendships etc.

well in reality i hardly discuss my future plans with my mates....but if a friend reacts like that then it will really depend on their tone...if its rude and ignornat yes it will hurt me but if their tone has that bechaargi then it wont like "haye pata nahi us time humdost hon ya na hon?" as compared to "well depend karta hai ke humari dosti rehti bhi hai ya nahi us time tak"

when u become friends with someone u share similar qualities with that person and once us get more closer then that person understands u even more so they know how u are. A real friend u should b able to share anything with it and if they hurt ur feelings u should be able to them ur friend straight out instead of keeping it bottled up.
