Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
For most of us faith comes as package deal when we're born, but how would you be different if you were born in different faith than the one you belong to? And, would you still think that you're faith is truest, unlike all other faiths (that are obviously are not true, except yours)?
Then I Wish I Would Never Had Be Born!

Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
People like us are already born in different faiths and they are generally not complaining so there is no evidence that suggests we would be any different from them if we were them.

Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
I have a very inquisitive mind. majority of what I believe in, I have questioned at some point in life and tried to find answers for .. shunning the blind answers and beliefs that people around me have tried to instill in me ... For a person like me, if I was born in another faith, I would have definitely reverted to Islam .. though easier said then done, but if reverting wasnt possible, I would be one heck of a confused soul !!!
Sometimes, my soul tells me to free myself of all the unsaid, unseen strings that religion, cultures, people , family tie us to .. the only thing that keeps me sane at that time is the concept of the world hereafter and Islamic take on control and what life is all about ..
I remember my boss , he was a Christian. a non religious guy. he used to say, he believes that alot of things in his religion are something that seem outdated to him, he cant find logic in them hence refused to follow religion all together ! I sometimes feel that is the magic of my faith, I can find answers, I dont find them outdated, what I find outdated are the people , the cultures, the countries and their so called values .. but Islam is definitely meant for every age and generation to come ..
Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?

The simple answer is we don't know
To each their own.

Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
What if you were 6 months old and taken away by monkeys.. I bet you would have been eating bananas and talking like monkeys.
We are what our learning curve has been. We learn from people and surroundings. Everything I have learnt in my life has been taught to me by someone else.
I can see people who don't realize this fact and say they would have reverted to present faith because their present faith is something-somehow better. This is the biggest lie I have ever heard. Even atheist-agnostic owe their present orientation to their exposure-learning curve.

Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
the only think I would like to add....the moment we start to believe that the religion i was born into is the correct one (even after some search) and others are putting up with a wrong religion, we actually unintentionally declare God/Allah an unjust entity...because it is God who made the decision about our family and religion
how is it possible that Islam is the truest and the best religion for Allah and he still kept on producing 4 out of 5 babies in non-muslim families?
why Allah is so unfair that he chose a muslim family for me but a hindu mushrak non-believer family for Uncle Southie thus reserving hell for him per our beliefs....that sounds pretty unfair of Allah..right?
but we also believe that Allah is not unjust.....and if we truly believe in it then the only logical progression of this thought process would be that religion is not that important for Allah....how you treat his people will be the ultimate test regardless of your religion...because this way Allah can treat everyone equally with no inherent advantage to someone just because he was born in a certain religion!
Re: How would you be different if you were born in different faith?
If one start using wrong logic then one can make anything look wrong what Allah did or does.
With the logic of how come someone is born in non Muslim family and be condemned can be reversed since non Muslims also think they are correct and all others are not.
(Some may not openly claim that but they do have similar attitude)
On the other hand, the same logic can be used for poor versus rich, criminal versus law abiding people, ugly people, sick people and so forth.
As far as the religion is concerned there is such a thing called searching and learning.
If someone has heard about or has opportunity to learn about Islam then what is the excuse?
If someone is born and raised in very remote area away from civilization then there is a quite possibility that the person may not be held responsible but those who have the knowledge of religion and did not try to spread the knowledge as much as possible, then those people may be held responsible.

wah jee wah kaya logic hai....lol and that is the exact same logic every muslim comes up with..dude that is what mullahs teach you and i have heard it at least 1000 times....
and answer is simple...before Muslims demand non-muslims to do introspection, study about islam and seek truth, they should ask themselves with utmost sincerity if they are doing the same? now please dont come back and say "i did that..I studied all religions and found islam to be the best" ..because you may have done it but the absolute truth is that billions of Muslims have blind faith in their religion and they think it "haramm" to even think of reading or learning about other religions...so muslim should not expect other religions to do that either..plus it is not practical to expect from billions of common people to study other religion and spend time on theological issues....muslims dont do this at all!
plus from pure philosophical standpoint you are wrong as welll..you are taking a preconceived position that isslam is the only true religion and hence when someone will study abt it, he/she will convert to islam...all other religions can make the exact same assumption and take the same position....so back to square one!

plus you absolutely did not address my fundamental question...
even if we agree with your inexplicable logic that non-muslims shd go and seek for truth..the fact remains that you are blaming Allah for being unjust...so you are saying that Allah will intentionally produce 5 billion people into non muslim families and then allah will expect them to go seek truth by finding islam.... and on the other hand, allah will give birth to 1 billion lucky ones in muslim families....does it make any sense? can Allah suhana tallah be that unjust? la howla walla quwata illah billah!
