I guess facing up to it would be a start. Some people can't do that though and end up accusing the other person cause that is easier than admitting your mistakes. I like to call it, Playing Victim Syndrome.
Depends who it is coming from. I don't like it when someone in my family critisizes me no matter what the reason. But I have a few friends who can say a lot more and i'll take it positively. This ex-boss of mine is one of my very very very good buddies. He gives me a lot of critical evaluations and just says whatever is on his mind. Sometimes he apologizes for being very harsh but I don't mind anything he says, he is usually right. I think Roman is another person who is usually right whenever(rarely) he gets in to criticism. I don't mind what he says either. But it has only happened on a couple of occasions, he probably doesn;t even remember!

MQ, insults are childish.. i dont think thats criticism...
if someone has been hurt by ur actions, u should apologise instead of creating a scene.. no?

I meant that there are ways of giving criticism. Some people give it like kind advice.Others, who dont know how to give it, make it sound like an insult.
i really like criticism, and cant for the life of me distinguish between constrcutive and destrcutive criticism. why? cuz i do not have such immense psychic powers to divine ppls minds as sadz and some of the other very mature ppl have on this form.
besides i like it irrespective, cuz hearing it is exactly what tells me i was right.

Hm. I seem to have made a career out of diplomatically giving criticism, and I think I can take it most of the time. But it really depends on who is giving it and in what way.
