Intellectual Compatibility is alot more about similiar speed of understanding, amount of knowledge and very less about similarity of opinions. One must be able to have an interesting and stimulating conversation with their partner and vice versa.

THAT is really important and I think it comes down to education, if the two are educated to a similar level they are more likely to be on the same wavelength. Other factors like childhood, upbringing also come into play when it comes to compatibility.

What I can't stand is smart, intelligent people going for shareef, gharelu girls with basic education, how are the two supposed to have an interesting conversation? If you look around at your best friends, it's obvious that one of the reasons you're friends with them is the intellectual compatibility you share with them. A wife should be like a best friend, with benefits =D.

It is pretty simple. Most people who go to uni tend to be better at critical thinking/reasoning. They get more exposure to the outside world, are well versed in current affairs and therefore can express themselves better and hold their own in an intelligent conversation. According to you, compatibility is about similar speed of understanding, amount of knowledge, interesting and stimulating conversation. If a person like me wanted intellectual compatibility I would make sure they are similarly educated. Of course the girl might turn out to be a complete bimbo, but similar education level gives you a higher chance of achieving this compatibility. You would still need some interaction with your potential partner to determine this. Similar education = more likely to be intellectually compatible.

There are still other factors like I mentioned earlier, you might have a modern, urban upbringing while the other person might have grown up in a rural area and have a totally different mindset.

As for shareef, gharelu girls, I guess its just that I’ve come across some who don’t get out much and are bit..well dumb. That’s just my opinion though.
