i see what you are saying.
it is better they speak in their own lang even if they talk behind their customers, than to hear it and feel disappointed and hurt.
other people from other cultures do so as well.
people always will talk in their own language.
we cannot force courtesy on anyone in this aspect.
in their defense, i must say, in Queens, you may go to anyone from chinese, korean, or veitnamese background from nail place to bakery, they are nice, courteous and even more caring than sometimes others are.
this is my experience and opinion still. but please dont hold a prejudgement that is not confirmed.
