I feel counseling is usually the right route or maybe support groups. Talking to people who you feel can’t relate to you worsens it. Makes you feel abnormal or lacking in ‘normal’.
Medicines help, but that’s a temporary solution unless you intend to spend the rest of your life on them. Meds are good for as a kickstart. But you need to have counseling or support groups while you take them for a longer effect.
