How to wear this one? Help!!!

Thinking of getting this one made but I need ideas about the dupatta and a way to cover up the back. Also, which accessories would work with this?

Re: How to wear this one? Help!!!

for the back, just make a "V" neck (not so deep, maybe 8 inches) and do the same embroidery....

Re: How to wear this one? Help!!!

Just cover the back up with cloth. So you’ll just have kapra where Kareena has skin…with the same v-shaped embroidery. If you don’t like that…then perhaps the tailor can suggest a different way to continue the embrodiery on the back.

As for the dupatta…I was thinking of a light dupatta in the same pinkish red color of the embroidery. And the edges of the dupatta can have have a border of golden balls (spaced close together). Kind of like how Preity Zinta has in the link below. I think that would have a nice effect…it adds an interesting detail without being “overdone” and it’ll match with the gold on the bottom of the kurta.

Re: How to wear this one? Help!!!

I'm sure u didn't want to cover it up normally or otherwise u wouldn't have asked? If ur liking for other options u cud go with a lower v neck,or maybe a wider one rather than so deep. Here's what I would do,(if i was comfortable enuf to pull this off)go for skin colored net ,kind ice skaters wear ,it looks like ur skin is showing but its not. Depending on how daring u want to be, u cud go for 2 skin shades, one exact colour and the next a shade up. So u make a deep v,place the darker skin shade net have another slit v thru it (near ur spine) and use lighter net. And have minimal embelishment ,you want the neck to stand out not get confused and overwhelmed in desgins.

Instead of skin you could cover it with chiffon or lace, therefore it is still transparent.

Forgot the dopes, it should either be the border which is a Matt gold Colour think , but nowadays contrast colors is in.I'd opt for a lively colour from the embroidery ,likes fushia if it's a shadi or maybe a deep bottle -emerald green. I guess the duppata shade depends on the occasion u wan make it for,as in formal wear or someone's wedding/ walima. Also keep in mind makeup ,hairstyles etc ul be donning so if you don't Want it to luk like ur giving the bride competition, tone down the accesories or styling.
