I have watched countless videos on.YouTube as well.but still at a loss
How.do u pin it up? And what’s.the beat pin for.it.

Long straight pins are what are used...any middle eastern or Indo/pak store where hijab are sold will carry them

Wow, MashaAllah. How did this decision come about? You seem different lately, Nadz. You seem lighter, happier, MashaAllah.
I don't have hijab advice, I am not good at these things. But I recall a hijaban friend of mine had once draped her hijab in such a way that it trailed behind her, it fell behind her back. She used a dupatta that went with her kurta and it was for a formal occasion, it was simple but elegant.

Don’t be too overwhelmed by the styles out there. Decide what style you prefer to wear, and the type of occasion.
I always found it easy to pin my hijab under my chin, underneath the cloth, so the pin is not visible. Do use the hijab safety pin type (as shown) . It is easier on your hijab, no snagging of the cloth etc. Once you have it firmly fixed under your chin, you are free to wrap to your hearts content. Use pins, similar to cushion pins (long ones shown), easily available in the UK and obviously Pakistan. When pinning in place, make sure to grab just a bit of the hair from underneath to firmly affix it. Also depends on the material you are using If you are wearing a georgette, chiffon or slippery hijab, consider wearing a cap underneath that will keep the slippery fabric in place. Once you are comfortable, feel free to experiment.

I don’t wear hijab regularly (well basically never) but I had to wear it for a couple of weeks straight on holiday.. I just used a long scarf and tied it under my neck.. I probably would have ended up stabbing myself if I’d used pins :sid:

Umm. Sometimes it helps some women if they have something underneath like a cap to help hold the scarf in place. So try that maybe. Otherwise make sure that material of scarf you use isn't slippery. Keep it simple and comfortable, drape it around your head firmly and pin it in the areas you want it to stay in.
I guess I can't really describe it properly without showing you/playing a video. But experiment. The more you wear it, the easier it gets.

Just an elastic/ fabric headband works fine too instead of wearing a cap.

I wear either head cap or band,then fix my scarf with the head band/cap with safety pin and then wrap the remaining scarf sometimes tightly or loose depending upon how does it look good.
But the key is fixing it with head cover.

check youtube you will find amazing videos get those net or cotton caps which you wear under your scarf it will keep your scarf in place.
