How to wear a Hijab for a interview.

Hello, im wondering if anyone can help me. i have an interview tomorrow and i wanted to know how to wear a hijab for a interview so it looks neat..do i have to wear a specific colour? Its only for a part time job though and I’m not gonna be wearing suit or anything. Maybe just a black dress/hijab and maybe trousers?

A black or grey scarf will look professional. I suppose it depends on the job you're going for, but for most jobs black or grey would be ok. If you wear a jacket, then keep your scarf tucked under it, to make you look neater.

You should make the effort whatever job your going for because first impressions are last impressions.

go on youtube. they have lots of tutorial on different hijab styles as well.

Wear a hijab that goes with your outfit so the whole thing looks complete. Im assuming you're gonig to wear black/grey or a dark colour for this interview??

dont bling out your hijab with long hijab pins and hair bands. keep it as simple as possible.

trousers are good. pair it with a blouse and a neat hijab style and ur good to go!

I’ve worn this one http://www.middleeasternmall.com/images/stylish-mona-hijabs-13-400.jpg at most interviews. There’s no styling involved unlike shawl hijabs where you have to figure out a way of wrapping it neatly and all that. You just place it on your head and that’s it. It’s a one piece “mona style” hijab, not too plain and not too flashy, doesn’t look casual like shawl hijabs, looks very neat and elegant… except I don’t wear it like in the picture, it doesn’t look nice that way in real.. I wrap the patterned fabric around my head and pin it on one side (so it ends up looking more like an amirah style hijab) and my chest is covered with a cardigan/coat anyway so I don’t have to worry about the hijab not covering that.

A neatly wrapped hijab in neutral colours should be fine. Don’t stress about it too much.

Hmm neutral colours..gotta look and see if i have any of them..mine are all coloured.. :/

Thanks guys for the help! My real worry will be wearing a hijab in my lab's with a lab coat LOL guess i'll do the whole tucking thing in!

i wear a lab coat everyday and wear any type of hijab...no big deal .
