She knows the alphabet but is struggling to identify the letter visually.

Try flash cards.Don't use all the alphabets at the same time.Use a few and let her identify the 'big' and 'small' alphabet,what sound it makes,what words start with it,what toys/things she has that start with that letter.Once she has mastered a few alphabets,jumble them up so she can try to identify them,rather than putting them in the proper sequence.It all should help.

yes....use flash cards and work on only 4 or 5 letters at a time.
then progress to a larger group.

make alphabet of the day and draw it on her hand and ask her many a times during the day and tell her about things starting with that alphabet.
This technique was used by my daughter's school & it works !

PBS kids website and TV shows - My daughter is the top reader in her class - Stick to PBS Shows like Word World - Etc

Get index cards or cut put paper into small rectangles. Write one letter on one piece of paper
Be consistent with the font and upper/ lower case letter. Teach one kind to avoid confusion.
Other good activities are matching games fetching letters, and memory game. Introduce her to print in your environment. So if are teaching A, show her A's in new paper, cookie box, etc.
PBS is great, however I would recommend not to rely on it. Use it as a reinforcement tool for a little time period.
