just stick to what you know. the uncles are born to make fun of you when you try to speak in a language you’re comfortable with. when i was gonna leave pakistan, my uncle was like when she comes back she’s gonna speak urdu muun tairha tairha kar kay 
also, subtely try to teach your cousins english. it’s gonna make their and your lives sooo much better
