Emotional dependency...what does it mean nadz?

It means you depend on someone for an emotional uplift, correct?

Your mood, day to day attitude and behavior is dictated by how this one person treats you.

Why not get that uplift from the right things? Like your own accomplishments? I'm not saying stop relying on your husband for comfort completely but your self-esteem cannot be so fragile all the time.

Re: how to take away emotional dependency..

Look up 'dependent personality disorder'.

There's a possibility you may have it.

Re: how to take away emotional dependency..

You have to train your mind to believe in giving without expecting in return. That is the only way to get over emotional dependency. Also to really get out and try to help people who are going through extremely hard times in their lives..that will really help to desensitize you a little bit towards the hardships we experience in our own lives.

Re: how to take away emotional dependency..

And crying at drop of a hat is not necessarily a bad thing. It's ok to cry but think back and just look at how much time you spend in crying that you couldve spent in a better, happier way. Always think about how you will look back at your present when it's gone.
