Re: How to stay focused during Taraweeh?
So, lately I tried concentrating on Imam's words and also tried to get the meaning out of what he's reciting as much as I know. That helped but you know as I mentioned in the starter post, my mind starts hopping around, then I loose the track. So did further few things to somehow help myself staying in line:
1) While mind following Imam's words, keep my eyes open and then close it. Then open it again in few secs. Carry this over back n forth. And in all the due course, try to not get lost in the outside world
2) After every 4 rakaah, take a short break of a couple of min. Like going back , take a glass of water and then come back quickly. Trust me, atleast I dont feel sleepy doing that. :)
3) Trying to stay close to Imam as much as possible. The farther I stand, the more distraction I get. Also due to all the funny things going on in the back esp due to kids and young ones.
And further I think I need to reopen my basic arabic translation books from the course that I took few years back. Lets hope we all get better concentration in namaz and taraveeh.
