How to shrink your stomach?

So if you are used to eating a lot, obviously ur stomach size increases (so I’ve heard) and now to cut down on portions is a bit hard coz you keep feeling hungry!!!

How do you shrink your stomach down again?

I remember this usually happens during Ramadan as we eat less…

any ideas?

i dunno what u shld do, but i know 1 thing u shldnt do.

Never sleep rite after eating ur food, give urself sometime.

Tabu do some exercise daily. Even for five mins but do it regularly.

Go out for walk in evening or early morning.

Skipping is the best way to lose weight.

Dancing an intersting and helpful exercise.

And ofcourse cut down on too much of eating. Keep munching on light things like chips, biscuits, fruits etc thru out the day... so you do not get too much hungry all of sudden.

If you want great looking packs, intensive cardio is mandatory in addition to whatever ab exercises you do, take my word for it. It takes 2-3 months for results too, but oh boy when they start showing up they look good! Good luck and be consistent!

Thanks for the tips guys...ive started working out regularly...but just feel hungry always.....trying my best 2 snack on fruits!

"intensive cardio" whats that ?

^ where you really push yourself, and pump the heart rate up...

remember that your stomach is really the size of your fist - so if your eating more than what fits in there than ur stomach will definitely stretch out to accomodate what your putting in it - try and cut the portion size of what your eating, eat slowly - try not to eat fast, measure what you eat.. your stomach wont shrink RIGHT AWAY but it will overtime. This doesnt mean in anyway that you should starve yourself or not eat properly.

Cardio works wonders - treadmill, elliptical, cycling etc are amazing - try doing your situps with some resistance and also try doing the 'Plank' and tonz of crunches aswell!

lots and lots of cardio! This will burn fat from everywhere including your abs.

drink plenty of water! doing so will keep you full throughout the day so you dont end up snacking in b/w meals. Green tea 2-3x a day will also help with hunger.

Avoid fatty foods at all costs....fatty foods go straight to your stomach.

consume plenty of proteins...this will help you burn fat more efficiently.

core strengthening exercises that are pilates and yoga based are always helpful.

last but not least.....you need to burn more then you consume so dont overdo it with eating too much. smaller portions are always best.

every trainer says you need to FUEL your body - which in turn means you need to eat more than what you burn so that your body doesnt go into starvation mode and usually can cease weight loss-

have you watched the biggest loser? they always have something to eat every 3 hrs.. even if its a handful of almonds - or a piece of a pita bread! this keeps your metab up and lets your body utilize the calories wisely rather than turning them into fat!
my trainer was always after me to eat more than what I burned since most of our workouts ended up in me burning over 1000 calories - but that doesnt mean you load up on burgers and fatty food - i started eating smaller portions/5 times a day of about 300-400 calories each - like i wud split my lunch into 2 have a salad first and then have a sandwich later which wud break the 600 calories into 2! so load up on the fibre and the protein!

what kind of resistance...it can be dumbbell as well or ur own body as ressitance...so how to start with resistance training?what should be the weekly routine for this training obviously alongwith cardio for beginners-intermediate?

Along with exercise I have cut down on food portions as someone suggested....so a typical day at work is:

cereal 4 breakfast
Tea
loads of water
Lunch: Pasta with tuna (small portion) or then a sandwich
Snacks until dinner are: Fruit (apple/banana/grapes), Yoghurt and a low calorie go ahead slice
Dinner: Grilled fish/chicken with vegetables or then pasta...

Is the above a decent healthy way of eating?

Should I be losing weight if I run on the treadmill for an hour everyday and losing between 400-500 kcals a day?

At a steady pace I would like to ideally lose 2 stones within 8-9 months...how long should it take me to lose a stone?

My trainer told me that the reason why we get feel more hungry is that the body's metabolism is goin up but that does not mean that we can eat more!!!

Avoid pasta for lunch and dinner. substitue it with more vegitables , fruits and whole grains .
I have reduced my weight substantially by following this regime:
1. Breakfast Cereal.
2. Lunch Vegetable salad , ( no dressing on it I use very small amount of chat masala on it to cut down the blendness) Fruits and popcorns/Chanay(chick peas) , vegetables for snacking till dinner. Make sure that those popcorns and chick peas have no salt , butter , oil or any other additives.
3. I eat whatever I like for dinner but I have substantially cut down the portions.

One hour after dinner I do treadmill for 30 minutes.

I am happy with the results and motivated to keep it going till I reach my goal of reducing my weight.
