i want to know the best technique which can be used to revise for exams and i personally find it hard remembering everything i revise i want to know how i can remeber everything i revise for the exam

One technique is to make flashcards with little bits of information on each. Written in an outline sort of way, with the main points of each section.
Another thing is for every different subject, like lets say you are studying for two exams, one is math, one is english, sit in a different place. Sit in one place for math, another place for english.
Study in intervals, take short breaks.
Try to visualize what you are reading. Draw diagrams to help you.
Finally, ask a family member or friend to quiz you.

write down whatever you want to revise. 1x...2x..3x..as long as you think u need to!
Depending on what area you are focusing on this may be more or less helpful.
First off start studying early on. Meaning weeks or months not the night before.
Secondly if you are taking classes, study the material for the day before the class and do some problems. then go to class and ask any questions you may have. Afterwards, the same day or week revise what you learnt and do more exercises/examples (solve/write them out, not just think about them). in all these processes it would be great to create summaries as you are studying. And then closer to the exam study the summaries followed up by problems and where you have problems study the material in depth.
In most cases its just a matter of spending enough time on the studying and starting early on. It does not mean you should not have a life outside of studying but that is a balance you have to draw for yourself.
remeber we cannot retain everything,atleast normal human beings cannot,believe me i had loads to do during my medical years an dno matter ho wmany times i revised i could not remember everything!!!so relax and dont stress urself on this and other than the above suggestions everyone has given,discussing ur material with a friend helps build up long term memory and it saves u time in the end!!good luck!
