How to recover Picture from Theme File

This Picture used to be my Desk top background, and when I replaced it with another picture for desk top background, now I see it every time I log on but can not get to it so as to save in My pictures Folder, I think it is part of the themes Folder…:konfused:

You know how you can browse for pictures to replace your Desk Top background, I can not find the picture that used to be my Desk Top background.............but it still resides somewhwere on my computer.......because everytime I log on it shows up as the initial back ground..then disappears and is replaced with my current background Picture on the Desk Top.........

So how do I get access to this Pic that is part of the 'Control Panel' files as a 'theme file'.......?

Could be part of your Temporary Internet files folder. Did you right click and internet picture and made that your background ?

I've actually seen this happening on Windows 2000/2003 servers as well.

search for it

Thanks TLK, Yes it is from the internet …a picture of a 747 (PIA’s) taking off from Manchester at dusk with lights a spectacular view that fills the whole screen; and the plane is at the End of the runway…looked in Temp Internet folder was not there!
here it is…I found it again on Airliners.net…:slight_smile:

Only appears first Image at Log on and last Image on Log off. and I can see it as part of the Themes File…

Thanks again Gizzy…Your the expert…MS says in order to get rid of it set background to None…only I wanted to retrieve the Image…

are Bitmap files better than JPEG?..they seem to be interchangable or convertible one from the other…Right?
