You all know how the heat is ridiculous in Dallas. So I need to know all the ways I can prevent getting tanned and how to get rid of the tan I’ve got. I went from NC40 to almost NC44, and my tan is horribly uneven, that it isn’t even something I can rock. My knuckles on hands, my neck, forehead, tip of nose is like 3 times darker than the rest of my skin.
Oh and I use Sunblock at all times, SPF55.
Suggest me ways I can get rid of it, and ways I can prevent it in future.
Yikes! How long do you stay out in the sun?! I've lived in TX most of my life and when I used to get that much tan, it was b/c I stayed out at Six Flags ALL day without any sunscreen!
Get a wide brim hat! I always wear sunglasses when going out and if I'm going to be outside in the sun for more than a few minutes, I make sure I have my hat on that shades my entire face/neck area. I also keep a full sleeved cardigan (made of cotton) in my car so that my arms aren't exposed to sun for long periods when driving. Sunscreen is also a must. Of course, the best is to avoid the sun as much as possible. I don't go outside between noon and 5 unless its absolutely necessary. And if I do go out, I insist on being in the shade as much as possible. My face is actually LIGHTER than the rest of me!
P.S. If you manage to keep the skin shaded from the sun, the tan will go away eventually on its own. But if you want to "speed things up" then you can use stuff that has glycolic acid, lactic acid, or kojic acid.
Because of ridiculous FDA regulations, you can't get a sun block that fully protects you against the entire spectrum ( even if they claim broad spectrum). French company Institut Esthederm is the leading company in sun care. They are the rollysroyce in sun care an have a no sun/ sun intolerance range that is created for people who are severely allergic to the sun. You can order it online from UK based skin care sites. Pretty pricey but totally worth it. It's helped improve my pigmentation and I never tan or burn or breakout in a rash when I use it. Another option is to switch completely to a physical sun block. These are sunscreens that physically block the suns rays. These are less harsh to the skin than chemical based sun screens and are more effective. The only downside is the white caste they leave behind on the skin due to the presence of zinc oxide. So I'd suggest buying a physical sun block that has micro ionized zinc oxide. I love Clinique city block, Obagi nu derm physical sun block, and th dermalogica one too.
Sunscreen...a higher one for your body. Neutrogena's SPF 100 spray has kept my feet and arms tan free this summer...and our's was a bad one this year. I couldn't save my hands because I am constantly washing them.

What Paheli said. I have lived in Dallas my entire life (born and raised) and the only time I've tanned like that is when I was a driving a car without AC and my left arm was always hanging out the window, lol!
During these triple digit temps, try not go outdoors between noon-5pm....most everything we do here is indoors anyway, we're not a real walkable city. The good news is that once summer starts to wane (after oct or so) you'll find your skin tone going back to normal!
