How do you pray 4 rakat of sunnah of Isha salat.
someone told me that in 2nd rakat of sunnah of isha salat after “Atahayat” u recite Durud and duah Till " yoma yaqom al hisab" and thn you get up and start the 3rd rakat from “Subhana kala huma wa be hamad e ka”
Is that right ? i asked a few people and they had no clue about it…
the method u mentioned above is when u pray the prayers as 2 rakaat each....
means u divide the 4 sunnah rakaat prayer into 2 prayers of 2 rakaat each....
this is that u say salaam after the 2nd rakaat, then start the 3rd with takbeer-e-tehreema....
if u combine the 4 rakaats together, then in the qa'adah (sitting) after the 2nd rakaat u read the attahiyaat till the shaahaada and u DO NOT read the durood and prayer and u get up, and then do not also read the sanaa (subhanak Allah...), u just start the 3rd rakaat with the fateha....
this applies to all prayers, regardless of it being zuhr or asr....

No some 1 told me this method for 4 rakah of sunnah prayer of isha and in da 2nd rakat u recite tilll " yoom a yaqoom al hisab " and u dun say salam and get up start the 3rd rakat from "subahank Allah"
^ according to imam abu hanifa (ra), anyone who reads durood in the 2nd rakaat of a 4 rakaat prayer shud do sajda--e-sahw, which clearly shows u that he thinks it is wrong to read durood and/or duaa after the attahiyaat in the 2nd rakaat of a 4 rakaat prayer....
in fiqh of other imams u dont have to do sajda-e-sahw for the durood, but no one reads it anyway, and if someone does read it, it is by mistake....
plz check with some alim (scholar) or atleast the imam of ur local mosque....
Also, you'll hear them claim that 3 Witr also cannot be prayed like a Maghrib Salaat but rather must be broken down into 2 complete rakaats, which includes Salaams at the end, and then one Rakaat.
