There are four main areas for Umrah …
- Ihram
- Tawaf
- Saee
- Hair cuttting
There are various sunnahs and nawafil you can do but it is better to speak to someone from you local masjid … I think it is important that you do Umrah in accordance with the schools and Madhab that you follow.
In practical terms half of the masjid is currently in repairs … So really only Ajyiad and Misfallah are open at the moment.
Zam Zam Tower is the one inside the big clock … When you go in to the masjid for the first time you can choose any door, but Bab Abdul Aziz is easiest … There are three sets of steps … On the last set you can see the Ka’bah … Best to make your first du’as there.
Also note that there are shopping bag type rolls, tear one off and you can put your shoes in and take with you in to the haram. Most people feel it more sensible to carry their shoes in …
For food you can eat near the hotel area … There are two sets of escalators which can be seen on the floor area outside the haram masjid … Around those are most of the classics …
As much as possible try to go to the toilet in your hotel as the current ones for the masjid are far away on the other side of the marwa mount …
