Do I pack each glass plate seperatly or in the box they are in. I also have glass teacups and saucers. How do I pack these in a suitcase
I also have plastic hotpots. Any particular way to pack?

Re: how to pack glass dishes in suitcase
Do you have the original boxes Nadz?
I recommend bubble wrapping, and shredded newspaper to fill in the gaps.
I recently brought back a coffee set (Breakable) in my hand luggage but I only had one child to worry about in a stroller.
Have you checked with your airline to see if you can book in breakables as delicates? I saw a women doing this at Karachi airport.
I wrapped by hotpots in my clothes-got them home in one piece.

Was thinking to wrap the dishes seperatly within my clothes? I still have the original boxes. I just bought them last week
Re: how to pack glass dishes in suitcase
space saver option is to wrap them in clothes. whenever I travel I put delicate things like my laptop in the middle of my suitcase on top and underneath a layer of clothes. do that with your dishes but make sure they’re securely packed and there’s no room for them to move about (stuff your suitcase full).
if you’re not worried about saving space then keep then in the packaging they came in, and then stuff that big box in your suitcase with clothes layered all around.

My mother moved all her crockery from Pakistan in suitcases but she did a fabulous job with packing. She used clothes, linens, towels, newspapers, etc.
If you have original boxes, use them with bubble pack.
