Ok so I am moving by the end of this month. And packing is a horror. I don’t know how to do it. I haven’t even started doing anything because I am too scared to touch anything and not know how to pack. I am just sitting around wasting time and telling everyone how much I have to pack and haven’t gotten anything packed yet. How do you pack??? I have so much stuff to throw, things that I don’t need. I just don’t know what to do. My movers come in on Wednesday, just few days left. And my husband’s work picked movers that will pack and unpack everything for us. Isn’t that worse? Because then I wouldn’t know a thing… they’ll just come in and pack EVERYTHING. Things that I don’t even need. How does that work??
I want experiences, solutions, advices anything. Oh and I have a 6 month old baby and absolutely no help. Please tell me effective ways to start sorting out things.
Start from one room and just get rid of things that you don't need and move onto the next one. Since you don't have to do the actual packing, no worries! And movers are very efficient at what they do, they will label the boxes for you but yes they will pack everything, even the junk that you don't need so try getting rid of that only and leave the rest on them. Simple!!!
since u don't have much time
bring big bags, purge stuff you don't need
stuff you are not sure about, put it all in one area and ask movers to label those boxes and sort boxes
move, get settled in your new place with needed things, and then tackle a box of sorting stuff at a time
this way u don't have to rush, don't throw away stuff by accident etc
I dont get it. You have packers and movers coming then why do you worry about packing. Just figure out things that you don't want them to take, namely your trash (they will literally pack the trash as it is if you don't separate it), things that you want to donate/give away, and stuff that you want to keep for your hubby and yourself before you guys move (if it's different than the date that movers are coming at).
i just moved last month before moving i throwed extra things n some were sold by me n thn rest movers n packers did everything they named boxes which r kitchen things which r bedroom etc i made them do everything they arrange my whole kitchen cabinets i just packed clothes n unpacked them rest of it was done by them i just guided them :)
Ah thanks. You g uys make it sound so easy. The things is, I don't want to take kabara to the other place. Of course I have so much trash and things we don't need because ummm we are lazy to sort out things on regular basis. I know once it goes to the new place, its just going to sit there. I am just going to throw away things... itna saman itna saman .. uff!
