as far as I know, you can not open .pst...

you need to import .pst into outlook using File --> Import/Export wizard to see the contents.

WHAT???? I thought u were an IT Professional.

You need to have Outlook installed, and open. Then just go "File/ Open/ Outlook Data file" and just point to the proper .pst file and ur all set.

NaheeN.. I am not IT professional ... I give such task to my sub-ordinates to do it for me so I did not specialize in the best software in the world known as Microsoft Outlook :D

  1. On the File menu, point to Open, and then click Outlook Data File.
    2. Click the .pst file you want to open, and then click OK.

    The name of the folder associated with the data file appears in the Folder List (Folder List: Displays the folders available in your mailbox. To view subfolders, click the plus sign (+) next to the folder. If the Folder List is not visible, on the Go menu, click Folder List.). To view the Folder List, on the Go menu, click Folder List. By default, the folder will be called Personal Folders .

If you dont have outlook, you can use this to open the .pst file.

I think you do not need to import as I mentioned. Tofi and Gizzy are correct where you do not need to really import the file... just follow the procedure they mentioned...
