How to make the impossible, possible?

My friend wants her hair straight, dead straight for her wedding … but we have no idea how to pin her dupatta to her head? She’s doing her own make-up and wants to do her own hair too … but how the heck do we pin that dupatta?!

There’s no foundation, no bun or anything we can pin the dupatta on to … and the dupatta is also quite sheer, so nothing that involved a lot of bobby pins … help!

You can style the hair similar to this

and then pin the dupatta in the border area, so the pins get hidden in the work. If the dupatta has a small border then you can pin them a little farther back on the head instead of close to the border. You do need to use a lot of pins to keep the dupatta in place. Pins used for buns can also be used but use them in combination with bobby pins. Also pinning the dupatta around the shoulder area both on front and back helps lift some weight off the head and supports it.
I hope it was of some help because its hard to explain this kind of thing without demonstration.
Another solution could be to get the hair and dupatta done from a parlour/saloon after she has done her own makeup. Or try to talk to them for just the dupatta setting, I know saloons offer only hair styling so they might offer dupatta setting too.

A hairstyle like this too can provide a base for the dupatta with straight open hair

Re: How to make the impossible, possible?

She will have to do a half-up half-down hairdo to achieve the look. The dupatta needs a solid foundation.

How to make the impossible, possible?

I had my hair down for my Valima. They did a half hair up style and a doughnut to hold everything.
