I start a pot with 1/2 water 1/2 milk. add 2 teabags for every cup of tea- and then add a little open leaf if i want. We use lipton and another brand, it's really strong and almost too overpowering so we dilute w/ lipton. Anyway, i'm sure danedar works similarly. Yeah so we just let it simmer on medium for 5 mins, really absorbing the flavors. if you want, you can add powdered ginger or cardamom- gives it that extra punch for masala chai!
and remember presentation can change boring chai to a luxurious indulgence.

I make chai exactly the same way, except add some chai masala + powdered ginger/cardamom, and it really turns out great!
