I have a question for those of you that do bridal makeup (and those of you that don’t)… how do you make lipstick last on a bride? When my cousin had her makeup done she didn’t touch up her lipstick once but it lasted ALL night, through eating, drinking, etc. Any tips and tricks?? Thanks!!

maybe instead of using lipstick...use a lip tint...its like a marker for the lips...and it stays on for a very long time...

I know that Bina Khan in Karachi uses Lipcote to seal the bride’s lipstick… I’m sure other MUAs must do the same.

Sometimes when I put a lipstick on, blot it and re-apply if needed, it lasts a lot longer than just putting it straight on

I apply a lip liner first (usually just any nude colour) then as Mad Hatter said, apply one layer of lipstick, blot, and then apply a second coat.

I've dabbed foundation on before... I read about it in O Magazine and since have seen a few makeup artists use the same technique :)

i put the concealor/foundation first (just a little) then buff some powder > lipliner > lipstick > blot > pwder again> and lipstick

Oh wow... thanks guys! I was reading about those Revlon Just Bitten Stain Lip Balms... I might pick that up to put under my lipstick. My friend's getting married and she wants us in the pics before the ceremony so I gotta make sure my face doesn't melt off on Saturday! LOL

This is what I do and my lipstick lasts a looong time.
Apply your lipstick, blot, dust talcum powder on your lips using a small brush, apply your lipstick again and you're done :)

Chaska? that was a serious reply. I am not sure what are you talking (or thinking) about but I have always seen bride and her friends/elders kissing each other while congratulating that messes up lipstick & makeup (also elders messes up her hair by phairing shafqat bhara hath on her head)

lip primer for regular lipsticks
But I love the color stay ones. They last 18+ hours plus easily.
