My daughter (who is 2.5 yrs old) is not liking her new tutu frock which she gona wear on my sis wedding… thats because of the fluffy look and the volume maybe. Let her wear it around the house and tell her how pretty she looks. Tell her to spin around in it or look at herself in the mirror?? Maybe she'll start liking it?
When ever I compliment my 2 year old and tell her how pretty she looks in a certain outfit, I notice that she starts liking it more :D

my munchkin is the same, the best way to do it is practise her wearing it at home a lot…compliment her and she may just wear it for half an hour!! @-P

If I understood you correctly you are trying to physically force her to wear the dress and then do something with it that makes it physically impossible or at least very difficult for her to take it off herself. I don’t really like that approach.

maybe you should have asked her for her opinion on it BEFORE you spent all that money on that dress? Even if she stilll didn’t like it, at least you would have tried.
You should make her get used to it though, if you don’t want a drama in your house on your sister’s wedding day.

You’d be surprised. My son is 7 and still doesn’t really object much to my wife’s choice when it comes to his clothing. But my daughter is very particular about what she will wear and what not. She’s almost 5 now, but this started when she was approx. 2.5.
Having said that: You would not really consult a 2-year old when you are buying the clothes in the store.

If I start asking my 2 year old little girl her opinion on clothing before buying them I’d go crazy!!! She thinks everything is pretty and wants me to put everything in the shopping cart

Can the dress not be returned. Even though you love it and want her to wear it, if she is not comfortable in it, she may wear it for sometime (zabardasti) and then ask you to take it off during the wedding ??
Or
- Show her some pictures of the dress and tell her how pretty it looks.
- Pretend you want to wear it and try and make a sad face that you cant wear such a pretty dress.
- If she likes some cartoon character/disney princess, tell her she will look like that in the dress

she got a sari for my bro’s wedding…and didn’t wanted to take it off anymore…
the second day she had a red tutu frock…and she didn’t want to wear it to…her mom told her that she could wear her sari again if she acted like a good girl and wear the red frock

She dont like anything like gharra/lehnga too.. which is another story but i somehow would manage to put that on (bcoz she couldnt pull that off).. she pulled that frock easily because of the strtchable top..
