You may wana use Chinese white Rice Noodles for the white sawwaayaaaN. They are available in most chinese and american grocery stores.
i cant make falooda but shall i tell u an excellent alternative of mine...
boil some sawayya (vermecelli) the thin ones, leave to cool,
meanwhile get sum icecream, usually works best with raspberry ripple, vanilla or strawberry, and then once the sawayaa are cool pour on icecream and enjoy!
ladies and gents1 i have found the full instructions on how to make falooda so i thought i'd share it with ya'..........
here goes:
Kulfi Falooda
(serves 4)
Ingredients
5 litres whole milk
12 green cardamoms, split
200g sugar
30g takmalunga seeds (also called takmarya), soaked in water for 30 minutes
125g rice noodles, boiled, drained and rinsed in cold water
75ml rose syrup
300ml whole milk
halal jelly
kevda water
premium ice cream with 'fruity bits'
75g pistachio nuts, coarsely ground
75g almonds, blanched and cut lengthways
Method
Making the kulfi
This is the only part that takes time, but you can make the kulfi in advance and then store it for whenever you need it.
Add the cardamoms to the milk and bring to the boil.
Simmer on a low heat until the quantity reduces to about 1 litre. (This will take at least six hours)
Add the sugar and set aside to cool.
Sieve the mixture and fill the creamy liquid in some ice cube trays and freeze. This will make approximately 3 trays.
Making the jelly
1. Mix 9 parts water with 1 part Kevda water when making the jelly as per the instructions on the packet.
Making the Kulfi Falooda
There's no strict order in which the ingredients should be layered.... so explore what suits you best.
Put a spoonful of the nuts in the bottom of the glass and then pour in some rose flavoured milk.
Add some noodles and a tablespoonful of the soaked takmalunga seeds.
Add a layer of sliced jelly and then pour in some more flavoured milk.
Add 2 - 3 cubes of kulfi.
Add a couple of scoops of ice-cream
Drizzle some rose syrup over the top.
Add a straw and a spoon and indulge.

No matter how yummy it is, falooda does not belong in the ‘Life & Relationships’ section. Please move it to Household Affairs and Cuisine corner
