does he want the chinese style chicken corn soup, minus the corn?

Re: how to make chicken soup

I make mine in a quite easy way and turns out good...

boil the chicken in enough water so its covered and let it boil-add about 1 tspn salt....once chicken is boiled and cooked, take out chicken and break into small pieces (however u like the chicken pieces)...DO NOT THROW THE WATER THE CHICKEN WAS IN

Put the pieces of chicken back in the water on low heat...in the meantime in a cereal bowl put cold water and add 5 tbspns of cornflour and whisk.....once whisked thoroughly...start adding this mixture to the soup on the hob...do this slowly and keep mixing....you will be able to see when you reach the right thickness...if it gets thick too quickly then dont add all of it in...if its too thin then you can make some more mixture and add it in...

final touches...whisk an egg in a bowl and add it in to the soup and then close the heat immediately and mix the soup..

you can add vegetables/sweetcorn etc to the soup too..

soya sauce and all the other sauces are served at the table so ppl can add to their taste...

thats my easy way of making it.. im sure theres more experienced ppl here :)

Re: how to make chicken soup

I have an easy recipe and it always turns out yumm......take boneless chicken and cut them into small pieces.add salt and a little of ginger garlic paste to the chicken pieces and cook until the chicken is done(I cook it in pressure cooker which makes the process super fast :D )then add lots of water (for 1/2 lb chicken add 4-5 glasses of water)...taste the soup now and it should taste little salty (as soups have little more salt than our regular foods). when the soup is boiling, add to it the cornflour which is dissolved in water...keep stirring while you are adding the cornflour mixture....when the soups get somewhat cloudy...it usually is the right consistency for the soup ...then I add some black pepper, soya sauce, vinegar and ajinomotto to the soup and remove it from the flame.....you can also add vegetables and some pasta while the soup is boiling......always turns out the like the one we find in desi chinese restaurants. The only thing I would like to suggest here is, add just a little of the vinegar, soya sauce and black pepper.

Re: how to make chicken soup

I make it pretty much the same way... except i throw the water out after boiling, put new water and add some regular and chinese salt to it. For it to taste really good.. the chinese salt is a must. Also, after adding the cornflour mixture, I let the mixture cook for a few minutes. I do not close the stove right after adding egg but if you do, it doesnt matter cuz the egg will cook either way.
