Again, this is very true, I don't really need copious quantities of "stuff" to be happy, I can make fun out of allsorts somehow. That could be a positive trait, however if you aren't like that, it's recipe for disaster as he will struggle to appreciate your point of view.

Arrange some men to put a sack over his head, tie him up and throw him in a van … drive for one hour to a log cabin on an island that they get there by boat … and throw him in to the cabin tied to a chair and gagged … they throw down a knife half way across the room and tell him that he has two hours to get free after which the cabin will be burnt down … He has to set himself free and swim across the water and when he comes out all tired and exhausted … there you are dressed in camouflage paint and then he has to catch you … when or if he catches you then … well then that’s up to his imagination … in the jungle rough!!!

  1. an adventutous person get bored very easily if he does not find enough space for his curious nature to wander (same thing as sharklaser 2 said)

  2. also repition of anything would make him annoyed

3)yes u need to be equally adventurous to enjoy his company or jestures

I don’t think repitition will annoy? What do you mean by that?

1 is a valid point, if you’re a ball and chain, good chance of being left behind.

One of my friends said he will never contemplate doing a road trip with his GF as it will get boring, however he has been on a six week long trip with me, I would like to think I can do these things with my spouse.

you say he is 'Independent' and 'straightforward'...where is the problem then?
he'll be straightforward with you about what he wants..or how whatever he wants) once you guys get commited i guess.
and if he is hanging onto you...maybe there are somethings he like about you,your company perhaps.You shouldn't be even thinking so-far-fetched at the moment:)

sharklaser2 : repitition means asking him same things again and again or telling him same stories again and again , some people are in the habit of repitition
