Re: How to land a job in UAE

Get rid of all the mallus, which isn’t possible, so just join hands with a few so as to penetrate their devious web of conspiracies [errr, what em i saying] Well, in a way that holds true bro, I mean you have to find some references [read vasta] in order to get a job in Dubai and I know this as I’ve been in this country for a LONG time. But apart from the references, you need to market yourself properly (good CV) and that is very important. The most important bit, for the UAE market, is that you gotta have some experience [man I’m just starting to hate this word] and I’ve seen people faking it as well. I’m not saying you should, but simply speaking of what’s happening down here. Third point, is that you should be prepared to start of small i.e. at low wages and then in fews years time inshaAllah, when you have the relevant experience in the market, you switch jobs and GOD willing you’ll get good pay.

Most of what I said applies to people who have little experience like a year or so, which means it may or may not apply to you. What’s your position at the moment, you a fresher? experience level?

PS: I had to vent you know, I’m in a somewhat similar situation :hehe:

Oh I almost forgot, Bayt.com has a 50% off; Ramadhan offer. At 49dollars they'll write an entry level CV for you so you might wanna try them out, if you feel there is a need. I'll suggest you have a look at their sample CV and jot down the important domains they've included and then come up with your own version. Drop me a PM if you want me to have a quick review of your CV.
