so i used hydroquinone for around 2 and half months as instructed by people here on gs. and now ive stopped using it. but i want to keep that `glowy fresh face look i had with the hydroquinone. will lactic acid peels weekly keep that glow…or should i use something else.
also i did see in the usa that 2% hydroquinone is fine…its the 4% they have a issue with it. so is it ok to start using the 2prcent on a more permanent basis, os it the same thing..???
I know you have a newborn to just wanted to remind you that you should not be using hydroquinone if you're breastfeeding.
Yes, weekly lactic acid peels with help you main that "glow". You can also use creams with kojic acid as this is another ingredient that help lighten skin and is safer than hydroquinone.
so what products you recommened ..any with kojic acid? i see alot of face washes, creams etc here in pak that contain kojic, so which is best, i dont want to buy the whole shebang, just one item of kojic would be best. so what do you recommened....
also im doing 7mins weekly peels...whats the maximum time for a lactic acid 50percent.
1) The one I've used and read a lot of good reviews on is Cape Fear Naturals 4% Kojic Acid. But I have no idea if this is available in Pakistan. Don't bother with face washes with this. Just find a cream to use at night. It should actually state the % of Kojic acid that's in it (2%, 3%, 4% etc.). Read the ingredient list and make sure hydroquinone is not listed there too.
2) I've left LA peels on my face for upto 16 min. without any problems. If you can handle 7 min, I would say each week, slowly go up by 1 min and just see what your skin can handle. But I wouldn't go over 20 min (no logical reason behind this....just what I would not do with my face). My neck area is more sensitive and it can only handle the LA for like 4-5 min.
Instead of peels.... Use PMD, it's a personal micro dermabrasion system. You use it at home following the instructions. Use it once every week for 6 weeks and then every other week. After that you just use it for maintenance.
Google & YouTube "PMD Reviews" and u ll find a lot abt it.
Shopnbc.com has the cheapest price. That's where i got mine from. I also use clarisonic. Both devices makes a huge difference on your skin.
