^ My husband's family used to have Christmas trees (he grew up in the UK). He was surprised that we never did that. We haven't had Christmas trees since the wedding either, nor have I seen any in his parents' house -- so maybe it was something they did a few years. I don't think I would do it but I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
