How to hold on to Power

Re: How to hold on to Power

its good to see that anti-musharraf folks still have their sense of humour after all this time under mush. to see some very happy people though check out musharraf supporters who have been laughing all the way to the bank and i mean literally. since the supreme court verdict couple of days back, kse has risen by around 4% or by about $2.5bn. to put this into perspective, the entire value of kse was $5bn when musharraf took over. so in essence, in the last two trading sessions, value of kse has increased by half the total value of kse after first 52 years of pak’s existence before musharraf/

musharraf bashers welcome to engage in their favourite pastime. musharraf supporters are a little busy to counter them. it takes time to count all this money:

Bulls go wild, index gains 385 points

KARACHI, Oct 1: Stocks on Monday reacted bullish apparently to the perception of continuation of the current financial and economic policies as the way for Musharraf’s re-election as president for the second term is clear after the dismissal of opposition petitions by the apex court but some analysts said the legal battle may not over yet.

The recomposed, KSE 100-share index soared by 385.68 points or 2.89 per cent at 13,737.47, adding about Rs111 billion to the market capital at Rs4.2 trillion or $70 billion in the post-apex court verdict, which is said to be all-time higher so far.
