rumors are unethical as they destroy reputation of people who are not guilty of the rumor's content of lies.

no they are not…rumors are just unverified piece of information…it could be true it could be false.

Why would I deal where I am at a lose-loose situation. I already know english? What will I gain ?

Well I beg to differ with AE’s explanation here … As per my knowledge, a rumor is a piece of unverified information of uncertain origin usually spread by word of mouth..

And there is a study conducted by Gordon Allport and Joseph Postman in 1947 which concludes that as rumor travels it grows shorter, more concise, more easily grasped and told.

This conclusion Psychology of Rumor ] was based on a test of message diffusion between persons, which found that about 70% of details in a message were lost in the first 5-6 mouth-to-mouth transmissions….

Therefore in end , what all you getting is a made up yoke … And mostly it tend to be false
