My BMI is well within the normal range and has remained quite stable over the years without any exercise. My diet is about ‘ok’- basically I never binge on food and eat fast food occasionally but to balance that I’m not a big fruit/veggie fan either.
Recently I’ve gotten into working out regularly. About 1 hour 5-6X a week. My goal is to get toned (‘no’ flab), increase my stamina (I tire very easily) and develop a healthy lifestyle now to avoid the tendency of weight gain that will come with age later.
So, what is the best work out regimen to increase the muscle:fat ratio and thereafter maintain it? I do not wish to lose more than 5 pounds in the process.
Also, are there particular exercises that help lose flab in particular areas more than in others?
No problem princess honey lemon!. I Presume your bmi is normal according to your weight coz xtron doesn’t know your height and age. Now in terms of food i think you’re pretty safe. But would be nice if you increase fruit and veges. The reason i am saying this coz your body needs this good sugar into your blood. Khair just try your best.
Xtron thinks your working out routine is quiet awesome. So thumbs up to you for being consistant. To get toned lets say your abs and legs. You just have to do light excersize like this:
To get you toned faster this is what you do:
Run on treadmill no more than 10 mins. And right after treadmilll—no taking break. << This will gradually increase your stamina. You gota be patient. Do leg excersize like the above video. What it will do is target your lower abs and this would tone your abs bottom to top of your abs. I will post up some videos…in a bit to show ya further.
And also check out this video by this woman. She has series of tone up workout that you can try. I wish you all the best jojo!
You are very welcome JoJo!. Btw..i don't consider myself to be some sort of expert. But i am like any other fella who is trying to be better in health and fitness.
There an 's" missing in the last word of OP's question (jk)
Dont know about toning etc. But increasing stamina is just doing aerobic running - long slow jogs. If that gets boring, one can mix it up with jogs/walks. Or doing some brisk running followed by slower jogs, brisk running slower jogs etc. Mix it up. Keep it interesting, and log those miles.
Cross training is great too. Swimming - if you are near a pool is best (though I am a poor swimmer). Biking coule f says a week will remove stress from knees and give you longevity.
An hour 5-6 times a week, the question is why are you not toned? if your healthy it should be easy with what you’re doing i do two-three time a week half hour and get tone pretty quick, it’s how much effort you put in it.
Bodyrocktv girl on youtube really helpful i follow her but i do how much i can, so don’t feel discouraged if you try her out cause she's hard, if you watch her more beginning video it may be easier for you:) her youtube name is charliejames1975 but you can just type in bodyrocktv and she'll pop up.
^Aight Aight..lets chill with critiquing her. Coz everyone's body is different and might respond differently. But xtron believes that you have given her good suggestion.

Lol I wasn’t critiquing, believe me I would be the last person to critique anybody on stuff like that I know how hard it is, sorry jojo didn’t mean to come off that way. I assumed you were working out that and it wasn’t working and thought maybe it could have been due to other reason sometimes health related reason… or personally, just trying put out there how much effort you put in, cause I had that problem myself. I kinda meant to say that keep doing wat ur doing…. however 5-6 times sounds like alot, why don’t you ease yourself in if you do that you’ll be less likely to quit and reach your goals. But if yah can do it, do it… but sounds difficult…3-4 sounds more approachable but then again everybody’s different. Good luck:P
Actually i am working out 5 days a week so i guess more it is better for your body to get used to fat and calorie burning.
But ya as someone said..tone means to get rid of un-wanted fat and be in good shape.
Well Deebs..i am a firm believer of working out original ways. Now Slendertone is like a belt eh. But when i workout i like my blood flow and muscle toning to be done old ways. Btw..i personally think..Slendertone is for lazy people.
