HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

But I thought that Jesus (PBUH) and the Father are one?

Yes, we as Muslims also believe that we stem from Adam (PBUH). However, as far as the Islamic belief, Allah says in the Quran that He forgave Adam (PBUH) for his sin:

Then did Satan make them slip from the (Garden) and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: "Get ye down all (ye people) with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling place and your means of livelihood for a time." Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning Most Merciful. (Quran, 2: 36-37)

My answers are in bold above.

I would love to answer anything else that you may want to ask. The bible says that if you truly seek the truth, you will find it. You MUST be willing to believe what the Lord reveals to you, EVEN if it contradicts everything that you have believed in your life.

Lu 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

THE BIBLE IS GOD’S WORD

The bible was written by God through 40 men in 3 languages over a 1,500 year period. These men lived in different parts of the world, some were rich, some were poor, some were educated, some were not, most didn't know each other, nor did they have access to the other's writings and yet it fits together as if it were written by one person. It was written by God. It has no errors or contradictions. It is the Word of God. The bible is accurate in matters of Science, History, and all matters of life. There are countless prophecies which have been predicted and fulfilled perfectly in scripture. Many of these prophecies were written hundreds or even thousands of years before they were fulfilled.

Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus Christ, Messiah

ALL of these prophesies were made hundreds, sometimes
thousands, of years before Jesus Christ was born. Looking in the face of
how He literally fulfilled them all (plus hundreds more), it is an
impossibility that He is not Messiah, Saviour of the world. The ONLY
person...past, present or future...who could fulfill all these prophecies is
Jesus Christ. The prophecy is on the left side from the old testament written hundreds of years before Jesus Christ was born physically on this earth. The ones on the right are the fulfillment of that prophecy in the New Testiment hundreds of years later.

The verses on the left were written HUNDREDS of years before Jesus was born. They were fulfilled in the verses on the right in and through Jesus Christ.

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

Will God be out of business if nobody sins? If so, isn't it a service that sinners are doing to keep Him in business?

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

Peace hobbit (aka frodo baggins)

http://www.v-a.com/bible/aramaic-jesus.html
This link provides the Aramaic pronunciation of the name of Jesus (AS).

As for the crucifixion … The idea of sin needing sacrifice is refuted many times with the concept of forgiveness. Please read up on such a concept in the Bible … read the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

healthymind bro … why must you make everything a “wahabi” issue … you have problems!!!

The concept of being 100% sure of most things is alien to Muslims. There were only a few people in our history who were given in their own life message of their destiny to be in Paradise. For the rest of us it suits our purpose NOT to know but only to be fairly confident that we will go to heaven, or else our surety could bite us making us conceited. We should never try to find and easy way out, but we NEED to observe the law.

The vast majority of the above points were NOT the words of Jesus (AS) they were words of Paul who allowed Gentiles to absolve most responsibilites from the Law, in favour of them to become Christ followers. But he had no authority to do that. The Cephas - Simon Peter was the true inheritor of the leadership of the followers of Issa (AS). His conflict with Paul is evident that Christianity was hijacked.

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

Heaven and hell are just states of mind and not physical locations. If you're a good person you are in heaven; you don't have to die for it

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

well if u followed what allah s.w.t said to do then u wont have to get there but will be there automatically

...But that's not what Jesus said. Jesus said that only those who accept Him as Lord and Savior will be saved. Was Jesus right or wrong?

Peace hobbit

That is actually a misquote. Jesus (AS) only required people to believe he came in the flesh.

Re: HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE

It says "believe ON the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" To Believe On Him means to place your faith in Him for salvation.

We must confess Him with our mouth as our Lord and Savior and believe in our heart that the Lord raised Him from the dead:

Ro 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

Think about what you're saying. If it were written by one guy, then it would be easy to make things up and make it fit together, if it were written by 40 people and most of them didn't know each other and lived in different parts of the world, that would be impossible to make up and have it fit together perfectly as it does. The fact is that God told them what to write and they wrote it down.

Back in the ancient days, they passed their information on orally. It was the cuture back then. They didn’t have t.v., radio, video games, ect. They did alot more talking. They didn’t have access to pen and parchment as much either, so they passed along information orally. Their memories were much greater than our memories because they used them much more often. The bible was written down by the first hand witnessess within the lifetimes of them. It was completed by A.D. 90 by John who walked with Jesus. Jesus died on the cross around A.D. 30-33. So the latest book that was completed was around 60 years after the event by the eyewitness who actually KNEW Jesus Christ and saw His miracles, heard His words, ect.

i dont think Muslims dispute the idea that Bible is God's word. However, the inaccuracies in it are a result of the numerous scribes inserting their own words, knowingly and unknowingly, into the scripture.

Merely the fact that many people are responsible for transmission and publication is not proof of divine status in its entirety. For example, Homer's poems were not written down for centuries, and many passages have doubt about who wrote what, whether or not they are indeed Homer's words. I think this is the nature of doubt Muslism have about the Bible.

There are no inaccuracies in the bible, that's not true. This can be proven by the dead sea scrolls. They compared the dead sea scrolls to the currently used manuscripts and they matched perfectly. The dead sea scrolls were 1,500 years older than the oldest existing manuscripts and yet they still matched without ANY errors. The only differences found were in the spelling of certain words that still meant the same thing. These differences were merely the result of cultural changes in the way that they spell certain words. God's word (the bible) has been preserved.

They are not just spelling mistakes. Most are spelling/grammar/otherwise inconsquential mistakes, quite a few however are important for doctrinal reasons. I suggest the book by Bart Ehrman, Misquoting Jesus. Quoting an article on the book:

The Book of Bart
