We have combined kitchen and living room and whenever I have cooked its just a headache when someone is coming over as its still smelling of food/cooking.
Any good idea on how to get rid of the smell? Can I have a plant in the kitchen that can kind of absorb the smell??? plzzz help
turn on all fans ( whichever) , & open all windows during cooking & keep them on around 1/2 hr after finishing , that also helps , also try to keep other room doors closed and get done with cooking around 2-3 hrs before yr guests arrival
i had the same kitchen-living room combo sometime back & that's what i used to do , also use scented candles & room sprays

k.. so my mom got this totka by one of her friends.. while ur cooking put a small saucepan on the smaller element.. and fill it halfway with water and put a cinnamon stick and bay leaf in it.. let it simmer on low heat.. and keep it on low.. while ur cooking.. itll absorb all the smell of the khaana shaana.. and it actually works.. i went over to my moms and she had cookd a tonnnnn of food and it didnt smell AT ALL!!
^thats a good one!
scented candles work VERY well. my parents are the same way, they hate any smell aftr cooking so everyday my mom lights up 2 candles and opens up all the windows.
