how to get rid of oily skin!!

Hi,

Throughout my life, i have never suffered from an oily t zone/skin until recently. I have noticed, that not even 3 hours after applying my makeup, my forehead, cheeks, and especially my nose become oily and shiny and just downright horrendous! Why is this happening?? my diet has not changed apart from the fact that i try and drink 8 glasses of water everyday and eating healthily.

My skin wash routine consists of washing my face with a cleanising scrub every other day and applying a makeup remover everyday to remove makeup.

My everyday makeup consists of moisturiser, primer, foundation, colour corrector, concealer, powder, blush, lipstick and eyebrow pencil.

I have always used this skin wash and make up routine and never had oily skin as an issue.

I need advice on how to sort it out pronto because looking like ive rubbed oil on my face in the daytime espeically my nose is not preferable

should i start using expensive skin care brands like kielh’s however you spell it lol. :frowning:

Has anything changed in regards to your hormones? Pregnancy/the pill/supplements?

Re: how to get rid of oily skin!!

nope. all i take are iron tablets for anaemia. but i have been taking those for a few years now so dont think that could be the issue.

Re: how to get rid of oily skin!!

Have you switched to any new products in your skin care routine? Like now using a different night cream or any other new product in your make up? Have you started using very warm water to wash your face or have started taking steam baths?

Re: how to get rid of oily skin!!

ive started using castor oil only on my eyebrows and eyelashes after my eyebrow lady ruined them :/ lol. i change up my night creams all the time, but never had any issues with them.

Re: how to get rid of oily skin!!

Maybe you aren't moisturising enough? Sometimes to combat dryness the face starts producing excess oil. So it isn't your daily routine but bad weather that could have caused the change.

Im sure you’re applying more quantity of castor oil than needed which is spreading all over the face & causing your skin to be excessively & stubbornly lubricant. Stop using it for a month and see if the condition goes back to normal.

Re: how to get rid of oily skin!!

Maybe drinking those 8 glasses of water is removing all those toxins from your system. Which is a good thing I suppose.

Also, maybe try going a few days without make up as it may be clogging up your pores and affecting the balance of your t-zone.

If all else fails, just remember you'd like an oily face rather than a crusty dried face in dire need of a good moisturiser, of which I have seen plenty girls about.
