I think it would completely disappear with time..

Re: How to get rid of burning mark

Hello,
I think you should apply contractubex skin ointment on the marks but it is better you should go to your native skin specialist.
Good luck

I dont know how to get rid of marks once ur burnt...but if u ever do get burnt...lady at work told me 2 rub salt all over it...that way no mark will remain..and no apparently it doesnt hurt..its not the same experience as salt over a wound....

sorry to hear abt ur daughter, is it a very old mark or she just had this mark recently?
My mom got burning ,marks on her face by a severe accident, quite visible, we took her to the dermatologinst, he priscribed sum medicines and ointments,
He priscribed an ointment "Cutivate" for reducing the burning marks, and now Mashallah her all marks have been disappeared, with in a month

^ Her mark is 1.5 years old, it was dimmer but not disappeared.

Re: How to get rid of burning mark

Since so much time has lapsed..I dont think there is much you can do for your daughter other then just wait. She is so young......inshAllah the mark will disappear with time.

Don't worry too much about it...most of all don't make her feel conscious about it.

Re: How to get rid of burning mark

There is a scar remedy called Mederma which really works on scars, even old ones. Its a bit expensive, like 20 or 30 dollars for a 5 oz. tube but thats all you'd need...and it truly does work, doesnt make the scar go away completely but makes it much much better.

Thanks to all of u.

Talk to a Dermatologist they can suggest something including Plastic surgery or laser scar removal.

Scar Improvement
Scar improvement treatment has come a long way in plastic surgery. Today, plastic surgeons have many tools at their disposal to reduce and treat scars from practically every part of the body through special scar removal techniques.
**What is a scar? **
A scar is an overgrowth of fibrous tissue and blood vessels that form as a result of injury, a cut or a burn. There are many types. Keloids are very thick clusters of scar tissue that appear as red or purple lesions, often growing outside of the injury, cut or incision. They can be very difficult to treat and have a tendency to reappear even after scar removal treatment.
Hypertrophic scars are similar to keloids and tend to be thick, red, and raised, but remain within the boundaries of the original incision or wound. They can often be improved with scar removal methods such as a simple application of special creams, or injections.
Because of its location, a facial scar is frequently considered a cosmetic problem, whether or not it is hypertrophic. There are several scar removal techniques to make a facial scar less noticeable. Often it is simply to cut out the scar and close it with tiny stitches, leaving a thinner, less noticeable scar. Laser scar removal procedures may also be used as well as creams.
Burns also cause scars and can result in a loss of a large area of skin. The resulting scar contracts, causing the edges of skin to be pulled together, affecting adjacent muscles and tendons and restricting normal movement. These are usually treated with scar removal surgery using a skin flap, or graph and tissue expansion.
Treatment
Surgery: Sometimes surgery may be required to improve the scar. In this case, the surgeon will remove excess scar tissue, and reposition the incision so that it heals in a less visible pattern. This scar removal surgery is usually done under local or general anesthesia in the doctor’s office.
Creams/Massages: Treatment using special creams are applied directly to the scar. The cream softens the scar tissue and promotes healing by working on the collagen fibers and realigning them. Massage may also be recommended, especially after breast surgery. This also helps to break up the scar tissue.
Laser: Scars, especially old scars, may be treated with PhotoDerm, a non-invasive, laser-like device that emits an intense flash of light that works directly on the scar by reducing the blood vessels present in the scar tissue.

it doesn’t ever really go away

i have a burn on my hand from when i was about that age and twenty some years later if you look you can still see it…it’s not prominent and it blends in pretty well but its definitely still there

but it doesn’t bother me at all, sometimes i think its kind of cool looking  (can’t say that about other scars and burn marks  )

but yeah its no big

Re: How to get rid of burning mark

I burned my left hand when I was about 6-7. Dipped my hand in freshly cooked Qorma.. :smack: (no it wasn’t my fault :barbie: ) Now the burn marks are hardly visible. so yes it will go away with time, depending how deep the burn marks are. :chai:

Re: How to get rid of burning mark

burned my tummy while ironing clothes when i was like 5...the little spot that was there are 10 wasn't there at 13. the skin grows and heals. don't worry.
