How to get rid from smell in the fridge

Hi,

In my refrigerator a peice of fish is thawed which creates smell in the refrigerator, I use vineger and baking soda to clean it, but useless, anybody knows tips to remove smell from fridge plz share.

What you can do is go ahead and clean out the entire fridge this time, but next time, thaw the fish in a closed container or its original packaging. Also, try putting an open box of baking soda in the fridge. That may absorb the smell as well.

i heard that placing a piece of coal in a brown paper bag in the fridge also works.

also, don't forget to change the box of baking soda everty 3 months or so.

i just remembered...since you combined baking soda and vinegar...u kinda just made water...so essentially ur cleaning with water. try using bleach this time...but dilute it well.

Choose any one of the following cleaning materials ***combining two of these may cause toxic fumes and wash refrigerator/freezer walls also regularly dust out the coils at the back , it helps in better ventilation. Vinegar--one cup /bucket of water or Household ammonia--one cup /bucket of water or Chlorine bleach--one-half cup per bucket of water After cleaning, rinse with clear water and dry. i hope it helps u

buy a new fridge, and dont buy stinky fish ever again

Use your regular pamolive dish detergent, it should help you clean and get rid of fish smell. Also when you buy fish, make sure you keep it in ziplogs and put the ziplogs in another plastic bag.

Ziplog is those plastic bags with a press and seal thing at the top.

I have used baking soda, wash all shleves with vineger+water mixture, but useless. I got a tip from internet to put white onion in halves in all shelves for two days, I will try this tip today. Then after two days wash shelves with dish wash soap, the smell will be gone.

Try leaving an open container of fresh ground coffee or a paper towel dipped in vanilla essence lying in the fridge should do the trick :)

I did all efforts finally the smell is gone but in filtered water and in ice the smell is present what is the solution for that. Any idea ???
